Isostatic lifting beam with force control

Case study: Lifting of metal modules

PALONNIER-BOUYGUES.jpg

Our client was required to deliver a large modular construction project in the UK. The project was complicated by 24 tonne modules that were too heavy to be lifted at 4 points and brought to the site.

Sapem then developed a lifting beam distributing the lifting points on the modules in 6 to 8 places instead of 4, with perfect control of the forces. This solution allowed perfectly safe and horizontal lifting of the modules and adaptation to the 64 different types of modules, making the operation extremely fast and simple.

Thanks to this innovative solution in the field of modular construction, the project was able to be built without significant delays linked to the complexity of lifting.
