A purely mechanical device designed to position a suspended load precisely.

 

The system allows positioning through rotations around two axes and vertically. For rotations, the principle consists of rotating the load around its center of gravity, that is to say at constant energy potential. This particularity makes positioning possible by using a very small force, which is equal to friction forces.
