Case study: Overturning of train doors

Our client, a train operator, needed to lift doors into a vertical position and swing them into a horizontal position to carry out assembly operations on them in one of their maintenance centers. He wanted a device that would avoid the use of a tipping point (trestle) and that the device could be used for doors of different formats, with or without the presence of glass (different centers of gravity).

Sapem has developed a lifting beam to meet the various requirements of its customer, in a secure manner and without physical effort for the operator.

Using this purely mechanical solution, the operator was able to easily and quickly carry out the maintenance operation.
